The collection of luxury wedding cakes presented by Christina Krug at the Garden Palace Liechtenstein was entirely inspired by the baroque lifestyle. Opulent gold ornaments, intricate stucco, and magnificent decorative fabrics from the Baroque and Rococo periods were translated into elaborate sugar art.
Inspiration
The exquisite original furnishings of the Palais Liechtenstein served as a significant source of inspiration for the cake collection. Magnificent stucco ceilings were interpreted into sugar decorations, and the golden wall embellishments of the concert hall in the city palace were reproduced as cake ornaments. A particular highlight is a cake inspired by the golden carriage of the Prince of Liechtenstein. Adorned entirely in gold, with intricate sugar flowers and a depiction of baroque putti, the cake serves as a sugary counterpart to the magnificent carriage.
3000 Sugar Flowers
For the collection of 8 luxury wedding cakes, 3000 sugar flowers were meticulously handcrafted and draped on cakes ranging from 1.20 to 1.75 meters in height.
